The brisket. The burgers. The baked beans. We’ve got BBQ on the brain, and that can only mean one thing. SXSW is this week, and we’d like to hang out with you while we’re there (in between pulled pork sandwiches, of course). You’ll have a few opportunities to meet the Karma crew in Austin. First, we’re hosting a get-together at one of Austin’s quirkiest coffee shops, Spiderhouse. We’ll also be handing out Karma Classics to help you dodge that expensive, shoddy hotel WiFi at all costs.

Thursday, March 12, we’ll be buying you coffee. Come hang out at Spiderhouse Cafe with us from 5:30-6:30PM for an informal chat with our marketing team. We want to know what you love and hate about Karma, what you want to see from us in the future, and how you use your Karma connection—bet you have some juicy stories. RSVP for that event on our Meetup page. If you carry your Karma in a special pouch or if you’ve personalized it in some way, bring it along with you. We want to see how creative you’ve been.

There are few things more frustrating than hotel WiFi (except maybe your computer dying in the middle of a House of Cards binge). You type in some ridiculously long password, fork over a load of money, and maybe, just maybe, the WiFi will work...if you knock on wood and have never opened an umbrella indoors. To combat this usually-necessary evil, we’re hanging out at two of Austin’s busiest hotels during SXSW to give out free Karma Classics. Friday March 13th through Sunday March 15, we’ll be in the lobby of the Driskill hotel from 9-11AM and in the lobby of the W hotel from 12-2PM. You’ll know it’s us, because we’ll be decked out in Karma gear, sporting our favorite orange Fjällräven backpacks. Karma Classics will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis, but you can RSVP here to make sure you add us to your jam-packed SXSW schedule.

We’ll otherwise be mingling with other startups and interesting, disruptive companies while we’re in Austin, so we hope to run into you. And if you’re using your Karma while you’re there, feel free tag us in tweets and Instagram posts with #KarmaSXSW. Just be careful with the BBQ sauce fingers.
